What we collect through this website, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Draft: this notice is pending legal review and its wording may change.

Who we are

This website is operated by BI Migrations, LLC (“BI Migrations”, “we”, “us”). If you have any question about this notice or your personal data, contact us.

What we collect

  • Information you give us. When you use the estate scan or contact forms, we collect what you enter: typically your name, work email, company, BI platform and message.
  • Technical details with form submissions. When you submit a form we also record your IP address, your browser’s user-agent string and the page you were on. We use them to rate-limit and filter spam, and we keep a log of submissions that were accepted and rejected so we can tune those rules.
  • Website analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are read and where visitors come from. It sets cookies (such as _ga) and receives your pages viewed, time on page, referring page, approximate location (country and city level) and browser, device and operating system. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. We use the results in aggregate to improve the site, not to identify individual visitors. You can block or delete the cookies in your browser, or use Google’s opt-out add-on. The site works the same without them.
  • Preferences stored on your device. This site uses your browser’s local storage to remember whether you chose the light or dark theme. That preference never leaves your device.
  • Fonts. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google’s servers when the page loads.

We don’t use advertising trackers on this site.

Who handles it for us

  • GitHub Pages hosts this website. GitHub may keep standard server logs, which we do not receive.
  • Supabase runs the function and database that receive form submissions.
  • Amazon Web Services (SES) delivers the email notification to our team and the automatic reply to you.
  • Google provides Analytics and Fonts, described above.

Some of these providers are based in the United States, so your data may be processed outside your own country.

Our services and your data

This notice covers this website. If you share a metadata export for the free estate scan, or data in a migration engagement, it is handled under the mutual NDA and engagement terms we agree with you, not under this notice. Our conversion platform can be deployed in your own environment, in the cloud or on your premises, and it runs private, secure AI on the customer’s premises to safeguard against data leakage.

How we use it

We use the information you send us to reply to you, to arrange and carry out the services you ask about, and to keep a record of our conversation. We don’t sell personal data.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiry details for as long as we need them for the purpose you gave them to us, and then delete them.

Your rights

Depending on where you are, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict how we use it. To make a request, contact us. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes to this notice

We’ll update this page if our practices change, and revise the date below.

A read-only metadata export is enough to start. No platform access required, mutual NDA as standard.
